Linux Engineering Intern

Job Description


Under the direction of the Connectivity Systems engineering team, the Engineering Intern will be responsible for delivering entry level project assignments related to software development, testing and QA of WiFi and Bluetooth radio Linux development platforms.

  • Software development and test for Laird's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radio products
  • Complete project assignments on time, and on budget
  • Gain exposure to Company products, locations and business processes
  • Establish good working relationships with peers and coworkers
  • Develop required software development skills and knowledge of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth protocols and QA
  • Interest in Linux platforms, especially embedded Linux development
  • Interest in embedded development
  • An basic understanding of C/C++, Python
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good organizational and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Responsible attitude and drive to contribute to project teams

Currently enrolled in a technical educational program, graduating during or after Summer 2019 and be available
We are looking for passionate engineers who are have a specific interest in Linux and development of software for embedded Linux systems. Any knowledge gained in this area would be beneficial.
