Job Summary With general direction, the Reliability Engineer II translates internal and/or external customers reliability expectations into plans that can be measured and excecuted through projects in the product life cycle. Design, implement and improve reliability test fixtures to assure the timely setup and completion of reliability testing. Responsibilities • Develop Reliability Test Plans with internal and external customers • Develop reporting and milestone deliverables with internal and external customers • Develop internal testing methods, fixtures, and materials needed to achieve customer and product requirements • Work with internal and external suppliers to facilitate reliability testing needs • Communicate with the internal and external customers regularly to keep them up to date on reliability testing activities • Perform internal audits and calibration on relevant equipment • Setup new and complex test systems for the Reliability lab • Research and implement integration of Reliability lab technologies • Troubleshoot reliability test setup issues mechanically, electrically, and technically • Work with manufacturing partners and suppliers regarding their specific requirements • Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards Requirements • Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics • Understanding of statistical process control • Ability to use precision measuring instruments • Basic data analysis skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows based Applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc.) • Excellent communication skills • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups • Ability to work well in a team environment • Ability to define project steps • Good knowledge of a particular technical area within the job responsibility • Experience with thermal interface materials preferred • Able to work successfully in a deadline-driven, fast paced environment and effectively multi-task multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment • Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing requirements and schedules • Perform other related duties and assignments as required The ideal candidate will have experience in reliability testing of thermal interface materials, an understanding of degradation kinetics, and familiarity with methods to predict life based on accelerated aging.
