Job Summary

Laird Division, Connected Vehicle Solutions (CVS), develops and produces solutions for vehicles of tomorrow. At our Hildesheim development and sales site we design Automotive Antenna solutions and sell world class products to leading global automotive companies. For this facility we are seeking german/english speaking candidates for the following position

In your role Teamleiter Qualität Lieferantenentwicklung / Senior Supplier Development Engineer you will provide supplier development leadership and support to Global Senior Quality Management, and should be focused on developing new suppliers in support of the site supply base growth strategies.    



Chances and Perspectives – What you can expect 

  • Interface with Senior Quality Managers and Laird manufacturing BU/Site operations for the development and release of Best-in-Class Suppliers
  • Ensure the supplier evaluation and qualification process is implemented with integrity
  • Conduct on-site Quality System Assessments for new and existing suppliers in support of Laird Supply Chain strategies, and ensure any needed corrective actions are implemented in a timely and effective manner
  • Provide new product launch support to Laird manufacturing BU/Site operations and supply base utilizing Laird common Supplier Quality launch processes (Site Assessments, Risk Management, APQP, PPAP, Process Audit, etc.)
  • Conduct APQP/Technical Reviews for new product launches, reviewing critical characteristics, FMEAs, control plan, etc, prior to PPAP submission and release (includes approving supplier PPAP’s when needed)



Personality and Engagement – What we expect 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics or related fields, Master degree preferred
  • Strong supplier quality management skills
  • Automotive experience desirable (experience with ISO 9001 & TS-16949)
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical process control, 6 Sigma, Lean, Quality methods
  • Advanced knowledge of the PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, APQP processes
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills in German and English, both written and oral
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Project management proven skills
  • Willingness to business travel
