Mobile Application Developer

Responsibilities
  • Develop mobile phone app's for Android and iOS platforms
  • Leads software development projects following a formal process. This includes software design, development, code reviews, use of software standards and testing for our wireless products including Bluetooth, WiFi & LoRa.
  • Provides broad application support, analysis, and design related to applications running expansive business systems/functions globally
  • Coordinates the design, development and testing of new applications, as well as interfaces
  • Prepares, reviews and approves documents, including requirements analysis, design, unit testing plans, release notes and user guides etc.
  • May interact with clients to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications
  • Collaborates effectively with other groups and business partners
  • Delivers training, supervision and mentoring to the software development team
  • Investigates, recommends and implements new technologies
Resposibilities

Based in Wooburn Green, High Wycombe and with minimal supervision, the Mobile Application Developer II will design and maintain software applications used in Laird products utilizing a broad knowledge level of software development processes. The person filling this role will also support both our Field Application Engineers as well as our Customers.

 

Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Rich knowledge on defining project scope, deliverables and team requirements
  • Ability to lead project teams and deliver results against milestones and deliverables
  • Proficient with various technologies including, C#, C, C++, .NET, SQL and any experience in Xamarin will be a bonus.
  • Experience developing mobile applications within an iOS and/or Android environment is a plus
  • Design, implement, test and debug mobile applications on several phone and OS versions
  • Able to work successfully in a deadline-driven, fast paced environment and effectively multi-task priorities in a team-oriented environment
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing requirements and schedules
  • Demonstrates problem solving skills with the ability to think strategically
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
  • Strong attention to detail
Education & Experience Requested
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in software development
  • Proficient in C#. Xamarin experience is a bonus.
  • Experience developing applications utilizing WiFi or Bluetooth communications
